Step into the cozy world of needle felting and bring a charming wool creature to life! In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will choose one creature to create—a sheep, bunny, or owl—each full of character and handmade charm.

You’ll learn essential needle felting techniques, including shaping wool, building simple forms, and adding expressive details like ears, faces, and texture. With guided, step-by-step instruction, you’ll transform soft fibers into a whimsical felted creature perfect for displaying on a shelf, desk, or gifting to someone special.

This class balances technique and creativity, making it ideal for beginners or anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing, hands-on crafting experience.

Carmella Cyr is a Vermont-based artist, instructor, and author with over 30 years of experience guiding adult learners—15+ of those dedicated to the arts. Known for her eclectic and eco-conscious approach, she specializes in historical and cultural fiber arts including Boro-Sashiko, Kiwandi, crochet, needle-felting, yo-yo quilting, and junk journaling. Carmella brings creativity, care, and a deep love for recycled materials to every workshop she leads, aiming to inspire makers of all levels to explore meaningful, sustainable art.
