Policies & Waivers

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE POLICY

The mission at River Arts is “Arts for Everyone”. Financial Assistance funds come from donations to River Arts through individuals, businesses and grants. These funds are limited, and we encourage families and individuals to pay what they can afford, so that we may serve as many people as possible. If possible, we ask that tuition payments cover at least 30% of the class or camp fee.

Rental Fee Refund Policy

We ask that renters secure their reservation by signing a rental agreement and providing payment at least two weeks prior to the event. If the event is canceled 7 days or more before its scheduled date, the renter is responsible for 50% of the rental cost. If canceled less than 7 days before the scheduled event, the rental fee will not be refunded.

Renters have the option to pay a Cleaning Fee or clean up after the event themselves. If River Arts needs to hire cleaners to return space to original condition, an additional fee will be imposed.

Alcohol is not permitted unless served by a licensed River Arts bartender as per the Vermont Department of Liquor Control.

TUITION REFUND POLICY - Youth camps & adult classes

We depend on tuition to pay our instructors and to make our classes and camps run.

Full tuition can be refunded with at least one week's notice before the program start date, minus a 10% Admin Fee. If less than one week, 50% of the tuition can be refunded. 48 hours ahead of the start date, the full value of tuition can be forwarded to future classes and camps. Refunds are not available 48 hours ahead of the program. Participants who miss classes in a series will not be entitled to a tuition refund.

River Arts reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment, inclement weather, natural disasters, or unforeseen closures.

Safe Child Policy

All our youth instructor employees have passed background checks, and have been trained on our Safe Child Policies and Procedures.
