Featured Artist of the Month: Marie LaPré Grabon

 

Every month we will feature one artist participating in the Virtual Open Studio Figure Drawing. January’s featured artist is Marie LaPré Grabon.

Artist Statement 

For the past 40 years Marie LaPré Grabon has been exhibiting her work in Vermont, New

Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York. She has received many awards from a variety of organizations including Johnson State College, Stratton Art Festival, Helen Day Art Center, Vermont Studio Center, AVA Gallery and the Vermont Arts Council. Marie received her undergraduate degree from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, MA, and a graduate degree in drawing and painting from Goddard College in Plainfield, VT. She continues to maintain her studio in her home in Hardwick, Vermont, where she is currently producing drawings, assemblages, photography and mixed media works of art.
