Waterways Stage: Nature and Theater Meet

Join us for a week of exploring the Natural world and transforming our findings into a 10-15 minute original play. During a week of Waterways Stage we will combine the Joy of scientific investigation with the power of performance art to produce an original play. Each play will include an ecological message that will help our local Waterways in Vermont stay clean and safe. You will be guided by expert theater educators to write, produce and perform a play, inspired by our local Vermont Eco-system and including all of your wild or silly ideas. You will learn about singing, dancing, script writing, acting, costume/prop making, set design, as well as the science of our natural world. Join us to learn about local science, play and perform on stage.

Sarah Adelaide Hewitt (she/her) is native Vermonter who for many years to traveled the world with her sketchbooks. Sarah is an energetic, inspired, nature and children-loving individual and she loves to combine my passions for nature and art. She is a practicing artist, mother, arts educator, and budding herbalist. She has a painting degree from Rhode Island School of Design and is currently pursuing a master’s in art education from Northern Vermont University-Johnson.
