Photo Co-Op Walk: April 25th
PHOTO WALK SUNDAY APRIL 25TH AT 7AM
The River Arts Photo Co-Op has a photo walk planned, to acquaint ourselves with the Conservation lands and trails of Morristown, and to encourage the taking of photos for the Morristown Photo Contest (see details below).
This time we will be attending the awakening of the Lake Lamoille Loop. Coming from the Morrisville Village the Loop is on the right past the gravel pit. Probably the best place to park will be the little turnoff area on the far side of the second bridge, just before Bridge Street meets Cadys Falls Road, since there are only a couple of spaces near the trailhead itself. From that parking area we will go back along Bridge Street to the Loop entry (704 Bridge St for those using GPS). If anyone is in doubt about the location, call Dorothy at (802) 272-7637.
In the interest of light & song, we will be meeting at 7 AM. During the past couple of weeks I have seen Canada Geese, Hooded and Common Mergansers, Mallards, a Heron, and an Otter on the water there, and heard innumerable bird songs from the bushes and trees. Everything will be sprouting and budding, and hopefully, we will have a beautiful morning for their enjoyment.
