Sometimes we have a change of heart

Sometimes we need a change of art.

If that painting on your wall, or sculpture on your mantle, has ceased to fill your heart with joy, it's time for a change of art. You could pack it away in the attic, hoping it will someday rekindle your joy. Or you could donate it to River Arts' Art 100 where it has the chance to spark joy for another art lover.

If you've never experienced Art 100, it goes something like this …

River Arts patrons donate artworks of all kinds: paintings, drawings, sculptures, fiber arts, jewelry, pottery – you name it. The common denominator: each piece is worth at least $100.

In the week leading up to the event, all pieces are up for viewing at River Arts. This year, like last year, the gallery will also be online (for virus risk-free viewing).

A $100 cash donation gets you in the game. Look through all the donated art. Decide what you like. Tune in to the live stream on November 5, at 6 p.m., to watch the random timeslot draw. Go to River Arts during your assigned timeslot and pick out your new piece of art.

Earlier timeslots get more art to choose from, but everyone is guaranteed to take home a piece of art worth at least $100. Find the artwork that brings you joy!

What: River Art's annual Art 100 Fundraiser (covid edition, take 2)
